In the documentation ([How to search the Data Catalog | Microsoft Learn](https://nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fvideo2.skills-academy.com%2Fen-us%2Fpurview%2Fhow-to-search-catalog&data=05%7C02%7CInfieldR%40coned.com%7C815fb512c2d643c341e908dc767ce876%7Ce9aef9b725ca4518a88133e546773136%7C0%7C0%7C638515526060840643%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=YM9sNu%2Fih5kS1pvJ6fTctn1eYYGWK4pqcpFoOEHoE1g%3D&reserved=0"Original URL: https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/purview/how-to-search-catalog. Click or tap if you trust this link.")) it says  that the use of the “” will look for the exact matches of a value.

However, this does seem to be working as described within the Data Search feature of Purview Data Catalog.   In practice if you search for instance for “acct_no” it comes back with entries that do not contain “acct_no” only and include things that just contain “acct” or “no”.  By using the query of “acct AND no” I do get better results but that still is not the result that I want and it is not what is documented.

Is this a known issue?

Is it being fixed? If so, when will the fix be deployed?
