Hello

Please i need your help on this issue.

One if our user is experiencing issues with SharePoint sync. They can see folders on the web version, but they are not syncing to their laptop or Explorer.

Is this happening to just one person?

There are many reasons why this happens, let's check them out one by one:

Check Access: Ensure that you can access your SharePoint library online.

Update OneDrive: Make sure you have the latest version of OneDrive installed.

Stop and Start Syncing: You can stop syncing a folder and then start it again if necessary. Turn Off Office Upload Feature in OneDrive settings: This feature is no longer used for SharePoint but might be causing confusion or conflicts.

Repair or Reinstall Office Apps:

Repair: Use the ‘Get Help’ option in Windows Update to repair Microsoft Office apps.

Reinstall: Uninstall Microsoft 365 apps through Control Panel > Programs & Features > Microsoft 365 Apps (right-click) > Change/Remove.

Hi @Iniobong Nkanga ,

According to the first screenshot you provided, it should be a user permission issue. Users may have different permissions for folders and files. Please confirm whether the user can edit specific files in the folder. Limited access permissions will affect the user's file synchronization.

Thank you for your reply.

I can edit all of the files using the Sharepoint web interface. But I can’t synchronize any of the folders to the windows explorer interface.

When I click Sync this pops up but then nothing happens and the directory does not appear in Windows Explorer.

This issue is relatively complicated and I could not reproduce it, I also could not get some inspiration according to this situation.

So I would suggest you open a ticket to contact Microsoft for more direct help. This is the most efficient way for handling this thread as per the situation. I am sure that our Expert Engineers from that side can address this issue effectively and accurately.
