Hello,

Could you please explain how the “Allow Scanning Network Files” policy functions within the Intune portal, specifically under Endpoint Security > Antivirus? Does enabling this policy mean that Defender will scan network-mapped drives?

    @J-3804, Thanks for posting in Q&A.

    Based on my understanding, this policy setting allows you to configure scheduled scans and on-demand (manually initiated) scans for files that are accessed over the network and Defender will scan mapped drives during quick/full scans, but it will not scan files when they are copied to/from a network share.
