To migrate VMware to Hyper-V, you can utilize the System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM), which offers a wizard-based experience for V2V (Virtual to Virtual) conversion. This tool allows you to migrate workloads at scale from VMware infrastructure to Hyper-V infrastructure. During the migration phase, SCVMM can co-manage ESXi and Hyper-V hosts, making it a single tool for the migration process. The conversion tool supports adding ESXi hosts to VMM, co-managing ESXi and Windows Server 2022 clusters, and migrating workloads from ESXi clusters to Windows Server 2022. It also includes improved RBAC in SCOM for better collaboration across teams.

Hey,

As noted, there are multiple options which allow you to migrate VMs from VMware to Hyper-V. SCVMM offers migration wizard. Backup solutions like Veeam can also be used.

As another option, Starwind V2V supports conversion from VMware to Hyper-V of running VMs, which can be useful for minimizing downtime. https://www.starwindsoftware.com/starwind-v2v-converter
