How can I link my Microsoft account with a new school email address upon leaving the current school?

As I prepare to leave my current school, I want to ensure that I can still access my Microsoft work/school account using a new school email address when I enroll in a new educational institution. Is there a straightforward way to link my existing Microsoft account with my new school email address without losing access to any of my files, apps, or services? Any guidance or steps would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    I understand that you would like to merge Microsoft accounts, For security reasons, it’s not possible to merge or combine Microsoft accounts, nor can you transfer such things as your game progress or gamertag, account purchases and balance from one account to another.

    Microsoft personal accounts and Microsoft 365 work or school accounts can be used side by side.

    When your old email address or phone number doesn't suit you anymore—but you want to retain your contacts, online storage, subscriptions, and settings—you can add a new email address or phone number as an alias to your existing Microsoft account. An alias is another email address or phone number that works with the same Microsoft account.

    When you change your email address, you have the choice of creating a new Outlook.com email address or using an email address from a different email provider (for example, gmail.com or yahoo.com.)

    1.Sign in to Manage how you sign in to Microsoft. If you’re having issues signing in to your Microsoft account, see Microsoft account help for more info.

    2.Select Add email or Add phone number.

    3.Follow the instructions to add a new email address or phone number to your Microsoft account aliases.
