Upgrade sccm 2303 to 2309

Hello,

I am in the process of upgrading my SSCM from version 2303 to 2309 , I have successfully installed the cumulative for configuration Manager 2303 (article 24719670) , when checking the requirements for 2309 it greys out and stays for a good while without displaying errors in the logs.

When I check Surveillance----Update status, I find it stuck in replication (In progress) in the "Update content library" phase, which hasn't started for hours.

    1,Starting with Configuration Manager 2309 release, Configuration Manager requires the installation of the ODBC driver for SQL server 18.1.0 or later as a prerequisite. This prerequisite is required when you create a new site or update an existing one and on all remote roles. Refer to:

    2,You can use the CMUpdateReset tool to reset an in-console update with download or replication problem. For more information, please refer to:

    <SCCM Install Folder>cd.latest\SMSSETUP\TOOLS\CMUpdateReset>CMUpdateReset.exe -FDELETE -S <your SQL Server> -D CM_1 -P <package GIUD>

    3,Similar thread for your reference. The workaround needs to modify the SQL connection properties, change "Force Encryption" from "On" to "Off".
