Hello Team,

Is the High concurreny clusters deprecated. Even I don't see Custom Access mode in UC enabled databricks workspace UI. I went through this article https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/azure/databricks/archive/compute/cluster-ui-preview but I am still confused.

Is high concurreny clusters and custom access mode is deprecated or renamed in UC db workspace? And if it is not deprecated in the new UI of db workspace how can I view it?

Regards,

@Ashwini Gaikwad - Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

To access data in Unity Catalog, clusters must be configured with the correct access mode. Unity Catalog is secure by default. If a cluster is not configured with one of the Unity-Catalog-capable access modes (that is, shared or assigned), the cluster can’t access data in Unity Catalog. See Access modes.

As per the official documentation: Clusters UI changes and cluster access modes

For workspaces without Unity Catalog (that is, no Unity Catalog metastore is assigned), use the following table to migrate from your original cluster settings to the new access mode when creating new clusters.

A new Access mode dropdown has replaced the Security mode drop down. Access modes are standardized as follows:
