Are datasets the same as semantic models?

Hi,

I'm currently in unit 3 (Explore the different Power BI elements) of the module Describe the capabilities of Microsoft Power BI and I want to make sure that I understand the words used to explain.

Are datasets (used to explain the creation of reports and dashboards) the same as semantic models decribed in the same unit?
