Hi there !
My organization has established a Point - to - site VPN and VPC on azure. But the azure vpn client downloaded from the portal getting disconnected randomly causing an irritation and frustration among the users.
Kindly guide and help in order to maintain a smooth flow of usage.
Moreover in the troubleshooting part I already tried reset of Virtual Network Gateway and downloaded the VPN client from starting and installing it from the scratch but nothing seems to work.
Also i check the idle timeout is Set to Never. In addition to this I also tried setting the IKEv2 network outage to 8hrs but it also failed.
Hoping a positive and quick response from your team for smooth and quick functioning and getting the work back on track.

We will need some additional details in order to help resolving the issue. You can try bellow mentioned troubleshooting steps and see those help in pin-pointing the issue
- Check if there are any errors observed in the client log files
- Enable Diagnostic Logging for your VPN Gateway and see if you are able to observe any errors in the TunnelDiagnosticLog and IKEDiagnosticLog. (It may take a few hours for the data to show up initially when diagnostic logging is enabled)
Please share if any errors are observed and it will help if you could also share more details on whether any authentication is set-up with your VPN.

Yes, Azure Diagnostics is priced differently, depending on the type of destination you select for your logs – Log Analytics, Storage Account, Event Hubs or a partner solution. More information can be found here

It does not matter actually unless the downloaded client version is not the latest. The latest version of Azure VPN Client is currently 3.2.0.0.
Please share if any errors are observed and it will help if you could also share more details on whether any authentication is set-up with your VPN.

Actually i redownloaded and reinstalled the VPN client just a couple of days ago. So i believe it should be at the latest version and in the activity logs and resource health No damages are seen.
So i believe it could be an internal error or some other application needs to be installed and configured in order to make it run smoothly.
Can you please help me with it without enabling the Diagnostics as it will be costing more according to my current pricing tier?
Hoping a response soon. Appreciate your help .

You can actually check the version from the VPN client in the help section

In this case I think it will help if you could create a support ticket as a support engineer can access the backend logs and can determine the cause of the issue. Please let me know if you need any help in creating a support request in this case. Thanks!

Kindly let me know the procedure for connecting with a technical person who can make changes from the backend of the azure as it would be more beneficial rather than carrying out the inspection from logs and running more services which could impact on my current azure pricing.
