Blue Screen Issues After WSUS Update Deployment

Hi everyone,

I've encountered an issue recently where some of our computers are showing a blue screen error with the message "It looks like Windows didn't load correctly" after deploying updates through WSUS. This problem has affected four computers so far. I suspect it might be related to a cumulative update, but I'm unsure which one could be causing the problem.

I've already performed some basic troubleshooting commands, but the issue persists. Has anyone else experienced similar issues after a recent update? Could there be a specific update causing boot problems? Any guidance or solutions to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello,

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1.Identify the Problematic Update:

Start by reviewing the recent updates that were deployed through WSUS to determine if any specific update might be causing the issue.

    2.Check Event Viewer Logs:

Review the System Event Viewer logs on the affected computers to identify any specific error messages or events that occurred around the time of the blue screen errors.

    3.Consider Known Issues:

Check for any known issues or compatibility problems related to recent Windows security updates. Microsoft often publishes information about known issues with specific updates.

    4.Update Device Drivers and Firmware:

Ensure that all device drivers and firmware on the affected computers are up-to-date. Outdated drivers or firmware can sometimes cause compatibility issues with Windows updates.

If the blue screen errors generate memory dump files, consider analyzing these files using tools like WinDbg to check cause of the crashes.

    Best Regards,
