I created an access policy on Defender for Cloud Apps to block access from risky IP addresses. However, I am unsure if the policy applies to desktop and mobile apps or just the browser. Although testing shows that the browser session is blocked, Outlook desktop still seems to be working normally. Any insights would be appreciated. Thank you.

I believe you might need two policies, one that affects the browser and another for the mobile/desktop apps. The behavior for desktop and mobile apps might differ from browser sessions.
