How to ensure that OneNote default notebook folder location is used correctly

Hi,

In OneNote 365 (2016) My Default File location is set to ..........Username\Onedrive\Documents\OneNote. However the notebooks in practice save to ..........Username\Onedrive\Documents. My OneNote app on windows and also on my Smartphone correctly pick up these notebooks so all works well. However I would ideally like the Notebooks to be in ..........Username\Onedrive\Documents\OneNote as I always have difficulty finding them in Documents. How could I achieve this without messing up the synch with the other OneNote apps.

    I suggest you go to File- Options- Save & Back- you can set the default Notebook location manually:
