@Varsha Zutshi - Welcome to Microsoft Q&A and thanks for reaching out to us.

Azure Arc-enabled Kubernetes allows you to extend Azure's management capabilities, like Azure Monitor and Azure Policy, by connecting Kubernetes clusters to Azure.

However, Azure Arc does not manage the underlying VMs or the Kubernetes cluster itself. You would still be responsible for managing the VMs and the Kubernetes cluster, including scaling, kube-proxy, managing certificates, VM upgrades, permission upgrades, and VM management.

Azure Arc does not manage the underlying VMs or the Kubernetes cluster itself. Instead, it provides a way to manage and monitor the Kubernetes cluster using Azure's management tools.

Hope this helps. and please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

    Hello Varsha Zutshi,

    Thanks for your question.

Your questions are answered below. I will also provide some links for reference:

Azure Arc gives tools for monitoring, governance, compliance but does not manage the VM lifecycle, such as creation, deletion, or direct patching of on-premises VMs.
