Hi all,

I don't know why but some servers can't find MP.

IF I set the key "lookupmplist" and reinstall again all works fine...

How can I start the troubleshoot¿?

I specified at command /MP:fqdn,.mp.local

I try to get the certifieds:

http://<ServerName.FQDN>/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mplist

http://<ServerName.FQDN>/sms_mp/.sms_aut?MPCERT

http://<ServerName.FQDN>/sms_mp/.sms_aut?MPKEYINFORMATION

All working fine.

I have defined boundaries as subnet:

19.223.1.0 -> Without mask and network

19.223.1.128 -> Without mask and network

I'll try to create a new boundary with only the specified IP with IP range but nothing change...

Can someone help me ?

TIA!!!

    Hi, @Sergi Díaz Ruiz

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum and thank you for the update.

The SMSMP switch is not mandatory, but it is recommended to use it when installing the Configuration Manager client with client.msi properties. The SMSMP property specifies the initial management point for the client and removes the dependency on service location solutions such as Active Directory Domain Services and DNS.

It is also recommended to use the FSP property and install a fallback status point to better monitor client installation and assignment, and identify any communication problems.

For more information about these options, see the "Recommendations for client deployment in Configuration Manager" article.

    User's image

My colleague was using a wrong install command. I'm new at this client and I don't know how they are installing the client.

    Is SMSMP switch mandatory?

    When we should use?

    Thanks to all!!!!
