Good Morning Alll,

I have installed SharePoint Subscription Edition and I have one question about the Workflow Timer Job.

This timer job will be deprecated / removed on July 14, 2026 or is to be considered independent of the "SharePoint 2010 workflows" feature already considered deprecated?

I should install "Nintex Workflow Subscription" and I don't understand if this product depends on a feature that has already been deprecated and would cause issues on July 14, 2026

Thanks

    Hi @Massimiliano Scaraglino ,

It is not clearly stated in What's deprecated or removed from SharePoint Server Subscription Edition, but as far as I know, the workflow timer job is involved in managing the execution of SharePoint 2013 workflows. Therefore, the deprecation of SharePoint 2010 workflows will not affect the workflow timer job. But since SharePoint 2010 workflows will be deprecated, it is better to explore new solutions in advance. Microsoft recommends exploring SharePoint 2013 workflows or Power Automate as potential alternatives to SharePoint 2010 workflows.

Nintex Workflow Subscription is a third-party product and its compatibility with SharePoint Server Subscription Edition should be verified with the vendor.

    Have a nice day! :-)
