    Hi @CARLLIE ,

if the Azure Subscription is disabled you can't create, delete or modify any Azure resource in this Azure Subscription.

Depending on the type of the Azure Subscription it might be an expiration date is reached.

You have to activate the Azure Subscription before creating any Azure resource.

    Reactivate a disabled Azure subscription

    Hello CARLLIE,

    Thanks for your question.

Based on the screenshot provided, it looks like your subscription has been disabled and is in a read-only state.

Student subscriptions often come with a free trial period and some quota. If your trial has expired, Azure disables the subscription to prevent charges.

    See:

    https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/manage/subscription-disabled

    To resolve the issue:

    • Go to the Azure Portal >Subscriptions. Check if your subscription is listed as Disabled or Expired.
    • Confirm you have not hit limits https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/students/
    • To proceed if you have hit any of the above you will need to renew it or upgrade to a different subscription type.

    Regards,

    Hello CARLLIE,

Thank you for posting your query here!

Adding on to the previous response, as per the error message, it seems like your Azure for Students subscription has been disabled, and thus your account has been set to Read-Only mode.

For your information, Azure for Students gives you $100 credit for 12 months. If you decide not to upgrade at the end of 12 months, or after you exhaust your $100 credit (whichever occurs first), any products that you deployed will be decommissioned, and you won't be able to access them. You have 90 days from the end of your free subscription to upgrade to a pay-as-you-go subscription. To get detailed terms of use for Azure for Students, please visit the offer terms. Please check here for more information and Azure for students.

Do let us know if you have any further queries. I’m happy to assist you further.
