How to use wild card domain name in v2 tiers?

Hey,

I have a requirement to have either multiple custom domain names or a wild card domain name for my Basic v2 tier apim service. I was reading the documentation around this here where it suggests this is possible:

However, when I try to create a wild card custom domain I get an error saying Basic v2 tier does not support wildcard hostnames

I looked through the limitations for v2 tiers defined here and it mentions that v2 tiers don't support multiple custom domain names.

Is there a way I can get around these limitations on v2 tiers?

Thanks,

Marc

@Marc Milliken Thanks for reaching out. Currently V2 sku's doesn't support wildcard domain names will discuss internally to update the document.

There is also a known issue that you can't use the same wildcard certificate for multiple endpoints in v2 (i.e, cannot use the same certificate/thumbprint for different type of custom domain in skuv2).

Regarding the limitations for v2 tiers, it is true that they don't support multiple custom domain names. Unfortunately, there is no way to get around these limitations on v2 tiers.
