Azure Synapse fails to load Lake Databases (500 error)

I'm glad that you were able to resolve your issue and thank you for posting your solution so that others experiencing the same thing can easily reference this! When loading a Synapse workspace, it sits at "loading resources" for awhile and eventually errors with a 500 for lake databases.

The error is not particularly helpful. Any ideas on how I could potentially determine if it's a single data lake connection at fault or if that's even a possible root cause?

Solution:
This resolved itself without any action on our part, so I'll assume it was a Microsoft issue.
