Microsoft Azure is billing me yet I've not used the service in over 2 months (from 3rd April).

Recently, I opened up my email and got an invoice from Microsoft Azure for 1st to the 31st of May. Funny enough, I stopped usig Azure on the second of April. I had no running projects at that time, nor did I ever open a new project

Why would they do this? I can't be paying for something I haven't even used.

@Paul Tibi Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum, Thank you for posting your query here!
    .

To process a refund request, I would suggest creating a free a Azure Billing support request and work with the support engineer help mitigate. This type of request is included in Basic Support and a support engineer can work directly with you and provide the best possible solution.

    .

The refund process requires a FREE Support Ticket to be created with Microsoft. Please follow the below steps:

    .

    Sign into the Azure portal.

    1. Search for "Help + support" in the search bar.
    2. Select "Help + support" from the search results.
    3. Click on Create a Support request

Add the below details to describe your problem.

    .

Information needed to process the refund request quickly:

    • Refund amount
    • Reason for the refund
    • New Refund request or checking the status of an existing refund request

Go to Review + Create and then click on Submit. This will create a support request which will be used to refund the unexpected charges.

You can request a refund by submitting a request to Azure support and once your request is approved, you will be provided with the requested refund amount.

    .

    Hope this helps.

    Hi @Paul Tibi ,

the best option might be to open a support case with Microsoft Azure support for clarification.

Azure Billing and Subscription support is offered by Microsoft by no cost and it's for free.
