Hello,

I have a 2 TB Azure SQL Database - General Purpose, Provisioned, Standard-Series (Gen5), 8 vcores.

I will need to resize it to 12 vCores and 3 TB. Is this process anyhow risky for my other related services?

    Hi 11-4688,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

When you scale up (add more resources), there is a brief switch over period where connectivity to the database might get lost. This downtime is minimal but should be considered considering the size of your database. During this switch over, your other related services, that are integrated with your database may experience a brief interruption.
