You are likely configured as delegate for this mailbox, with the corresponding Delegate receives copies of meeting-related messages sent to me setting configured. Follow the instructions in this article to verify/remedy this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/share-and-access-a-calendar-with-edit-or-delegate-permissions-in-outlook-532e6410-ee80-42b5-9b1b-a09345ccef1b
How do i stop receiving calendar invites from my manager calendar as a delegate?
I am assigned as a delegate for my manager, however, I am running into two issues.
- When my manager receives a calendar invite, I receive the same invite (as tentative) on my own calendar despite not being invited, I become an automatic invitee. I don't want someone to look at my calendar and think I am busy with an event that I am not involved in. However, I have declined invites and it has confused the original sender on why I received the invite to begin with.
- When I create a calendar event between myself and my manager, a duplicate event appears on my calendar (as tentative). When I delete the event/series on my end, it will remain on my manager's calendar. I try to delete it off my manager's calendar and it will delete for a couple of seconds and then reappear. When l peak at my manager's computer, the event does not show but it will show on my web browser and outlook desktop app.
Please help! Thank you!

Welcome to our forum!
To further confirm that the meetings appear on your personal calendar, please select only your own calendar when browsing it.
Based on my research, I do the test as following, and do not reproduce your case:
- As a manager: File>Account setting>Delegate access>Add (agent’s name), assign ‘Calendar Editor’ permission.
- As a delegate: File>Account settings>Account settings>Change>More settings>Advanced>Add manager’s account>OK.
For question 1: As a delegate, i could receive a calendar that I am not included in the meeting and response to it on behalf of my manager, but the meeting does not appear on my calendar.
For question 2: I do the same operation as you described, it does not appear a duplicate.
Please check how did you be added as a delegate, if possible, could you provide more information for our better research?
Hope it helps!

2024-09-18T08:12:31.6166667+00:00 Hello,
I have the exact same issue. Searched on google found many tips suggesting to ask the person to change his/her settings. but it feels weird if me as a delegate, I don't have any control over my own box ? Why can't I just deny the emails recieved for xxxx ?
say if someone not my boss, wrongly assigned me as delegate, then I have no control on my side ?
