When a document is transferred from the SharePoint site into iManage, does each of the versions gets transferred in a way that means the versions and comments in the document can be tracked to see who made the changes if there is ever an investigation for negligence/malpractice or simply to understand decisions made after the Team is closed.

    Hello Rock, Ann E,

Certainly! When you move a document from SharePoint to iManage, it usually keeps its history of versions and important details like comments and who edited it. Both platforms make sure this information stays intact, which is important for following changes, understanding decisions, and potentially investigating cases of negligence or wrongdoing.

SharePoint tracks every version of documents, showing who made changes, when they were made, and any comments added during editing.

When documents are transferred from SharePoint to iManage, their version history is often kept. iManage can bring in documents along with their details like versions and metadata. You can see the history of a document in iManage, including all versions created in SharePoint and the comments associated with them. This helps track who made changes over time.

Access to this version history and comments is crucial for investigations involving negligence or wrongdoing. It helps to know the sequence of changes, who made them, and what comments or reasons were given at each step.
