User Pictures are not displaying in SharePoint sites or lists

According to your description, I tested it in my environment, and everything works fine. But don't worry, please refer to the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

1. This official Microsoft document documents some issues and solutions regarding SharePoint Online sites not displaying user images, see if it helps you: Profile picture not showing in SharePoint Online.

2. SharePoint Online user avatars come from two sources:

• If the user has an Exchange Online mailbox, and the mailbox contains a profile picture for the user, SharePoint Online will request the picture from Exchange Online. If you are looking to synchronize Exchange Online user images, go to the user's Delve page, which will trigger the image synchronization behavior.
• Users browse to their Delve profile page and upload their pictures. If the images were uploaded from the user's Delve page, try re-uploading the user images.

3. Check if the same issue occurs with other SharePoint sites.

4. You could try to clear browser cache then restart it.

5. Try to use a different browser or your browser's InPrivate mode to see if the same error occurs.

We started having this problem last week. For reference, we have been on Office 365 for about 7 years and Profile pictures have been showing up for everyone in All Office 365 applications as well as SharePoint. Starting last week, SharePoint profile pictures stopped displaying for half of our users. This changes daily. Some days, pictures start showing up for some users and then disappear for others. I have setup a SharePoint page per Microsoft recommendation with a People Webpart and have added all our staff to it and asked some of them o visit it, but the issue continues. When I check the affected user's profiles in SharePoint online, there is no photo. Microsoft support has done a couple of server-side synchs, but it has not helped. I read in another support forum that a Microsoft tech made changes to user attributes for another person having the issue and it resolved the problem, but they did not mention what attributes were changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
