Hello,
I created several Azure API Management (APIM) services. I've been trying to delete them, but they seem to be locked or stucked in a transition state, and after more than 48 hours I could not delete them.
I'm getting the following error message:
Code: TerminationFailed Message: Unable to terminate Sku V2 API service at this time. Please open a support case for your API management service using the Azure portal and provide TimeStamp 06/17/2024 9:21:06 AM
Sadly, the Azure account I've been given does not have a support plan, and I read that I could create a new Q&A request sharing information about the APIM isntances for help.
The APIMs are:

@Rodrigo Liberoff Vázquez I see all the api instances you have provided are in soft delete state. You can also check if there are soft deleted by using the below REST API.
GET https://management.azure.com/subscriptions/{subscriptionId}/providers/Microsoft.ApiManagement/locations/{location}/deletedservices/{serviceName}?api-version=2021-08-01
Once you have verified that they are in soft delete state, you can purge them which means the instances will be permanently deleted.
DELETE https://management.azure.com/subscriptions/{subscriptionId}/providers/Microsoft.ApiManagement/locations/{location}/deletedservices/{serviceName}?api-version=2021-08-01
Kindly note, to purge a soft-deleted instance, you must have the following RBAC permissions at the subscription scope in addition to Contributor access to the API Management instance: Microsoft.ApiManagement/locations/deletedservices/delete, Microsoft.ApiManagement/deletedservices/read.
If you are still facing the issue after following above approach, do revert to me and we will delete the instances manually from our end.

I'm aware there seems to be a confirmed and known bug with the termination of APIMs that happens with all the V2 tiers. Please refer to the following question: https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/answers/questions/1689189/unable-to-delete-api-management-resource
This means that to delete those APIM instances, someone from Microsoft must do something to terminate them.
I really appreciate any help or support with this issue, since We have just too many kind-of zombie APIMs in the subscription.

More information. You mention that the APIMs I'm listing are in soft delete state.
However, if I invoke the following endpoint to list any soft-deleted APIM, it returns an empty array.

In other words, I do not have any APIM instance waiting for purging, and yet I do have some zombie APIMs that I cannot delete or terminate:

Yes, I was unable to delete the APIM instances. I thought I was able to delete them, but no. They keep repapering as undeletable instances.

The problem was caused by a bug that was not correctly deleting SKUV2 services. Issue has been fixed in current release and should not happen again.

Yes, I'm aware there is a bug. I really hope it get solve and release soon. My team creates a lot of these APIM instances due to an important project, and also needs to delete them quite often. This "zombie" APIMs have been an issue lately.
