Defender Vulnerability Remediation Query

  1. I have some Linux azure vm for which we have vulnerability to be resolved as per defender for cloud vulnerability recommendation. What is know is there a way to remediate all vulnerability findings through azure portal. And 2. We are using security.microsoft.com defender Vulnerability management section to scan windows machine for any vulnerability based on CIS benchmarks. Is there a way to remediate the CVE directly through portal.

    It is not currently possible to remediate vulnerabilities from the portal. Most of the vunerabilities require making changes inside the operating system. When a vunerability is found remediation steps will be found in the details pane. More information about this can be found on View and remediate findings from vulnerability assessment solutions on your VMs. This is true for both Windows and Linux VMs.
