Delete driver packages

I want to free up the disk space on the DP that is also the site server, and I know that ContentLibraryCleanup.exe tool cannot run on the Site Server now. I find there are many old driver packages and they occupy a lot of disk space. One more question before I remove these packages: if I remove a driver package, does it also remove the driver?

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft MECM Q&A forum.

No, deleting a package does not delete the driver or affect other packages. Also, if you delete a driver from a driver package, the driver will still remain in the Driver catalog and other driver packages it belongs to.

Additionally, to free up the disk space on the site server, please delete all the unwanted applications, drivers, OS and packages on the SCCM console. Please also remember to delete the files that you manually place into a location (source location). Driver/application packages never reference this location again. Best regards,
