Can I peer a vnet in my azure subscription with another company who has their own azure resources? Or can I set up vnet to vnet tunnel to their tenant?

    Hi ,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.

I understand that you would like to configure VNET Peering between two VNETs that are in two different Tenants. (as long as both are of Resource Manager deployment model)

    Yes, this is possible.

    Hello MDavis,

    Thanks for your question.

Yes, you can peer your Vnet to another company's Vnet. This functionality is called Virtual Network Peering. It creates a direct connection between both Vnet connections and allows resources in both virtual networks to communicate with each other privately, using internal IP addresses. I will recommend Vnet Peering.

Steps to do this are detailed here: Create a virtual network peering - Resource Manager, different subscriptions and Microsoft Entra tenants

The above can also be achieved with a vnet to vnet tunnel as you mentioned but Vnet peering offers a couple of advantages which include simpler setup and lower cost.

See : Configure a VNet-to-VNet VPN gateway connection - Azure portal

    Regards,

    Abiola
