Have run thru many "suggestions" but have yet to find a solution to my Windows 10 Pro machine that doesn't advertise itself to the other PC's (Win 10 Home) on the network. Lanscope scan shows its Netbios Name, IP address and Workgroup (MSHOME) along with all the other PC's along with Synology NAS as Master Browser. What am I missing, or is this just querky MSFT networking issues?

Have you checked to make sure NetBIOS is enabled?

    Start- run Control Panel.

    Click Network and sharing Center

On the left side choose Change Adaptor Settings

Right-click on your local connection and choose properties

Locate TCP\IPv4 and choose the properties button

    Choose Advanced button.

    Choose Wins Tab.

    Select Enable NetBIOS over TCP\IP.

    Hello,

Open registry by: win+R -> regedit

    Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters

Create a new DWORD(32) with "AllowInsecureGuestAuth" ,(remove the queto) change value to 1

Open your network(network and sharing center - > change advanced sharing settings)

Expand guest or public (turn on all your settings and save)

Go to service, change it to auto start, restart "server" service
