One of my customers requires software deployment for a new project, so we want to license MECM.

As I know MECM can be licensed in one of the following ways:

1- Software Assurance with Microsoft

2- M365 E3 or E5 or F3

3- Part of System Center 2022

I want to know if this is correct. and if he has Microsoft E3 licenses for some users, not all, does this will cover the use of MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) formerly SCCM?

If he bought System Center 2022, does this include MECM license to be used?

Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365
Formerly Office 365, is a line of subscription services offered by Microsoft which adds to and includes the Microsoft Office product line.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

1,Per my experience, both System Center 2022 Datacenter Edition and Standard Edition include the Configuration Manager license. For more information about licensing, you can refer to:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/pricing

    https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/understand/product-and-licensing-faq

2,The forum is mainly focused on break-fix issues or simple how-to questions, we have limited information about licensing. In order to get more accurate information about licensing, it is recommended you contact your vendor or the License Center.

Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Simon
