I tried logging into PowerBI app using my personal credentials as my organization policy does not allow buying Microsoft Fabric. However I can see that when I enter my personal id, it throws an error and asks me to use a work email id.

    Hi DIVYA LAKSHMI GOPAL,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

To work with the Power BI service, you need an organizational email ID. While Power BI does not specifically restrict the use of Hotmail or personal accounts for licensing or subscription purposes, there may be limitations or issues when using Hotmail accounts with Azure subscriptions, which can indirectly affect Power BI access.

Power BI restricts the use of email addresses from consumer email services or telecommunications providers for sign-ups. To complete the signup process, you must use an email address provided by your work or school. This requirement ensures security and compliance with organizational policies.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any other queries.
