My customer wants to secure assets cached in Front Door, and wanted to know if Entra/WAF/Front Door provides features to add authentication/authorization to the static cache. They would like to avoid regional computation and perform checks at edge; however, I am not sure if a configuration exists.

    Hello Audrey Long, performing edge compute at Azure Front Door isn't available as of today. Similarly, there isn't a mechanism to natively add AuthN/AuthZ to the static cache.

    @Audrey Long

    Thank you for reaching out.

    I understand you wish to know if Azure Front Door supports any features to add authentication/authorization to the static content.

    The product team is currently working on MTLS feature for Azure Front Door but I currently do not have an ETA on when this feature will be released. This feature has been a popular ask for Azure Front Door, more details here.

    Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
