I am uploading dataset in speech studio to train custom STT model. I have a .zip file which has audios in wav format and their trans. After uploading I am receiving this message: "Failed to upload data uch-ildiz. Error: Status: 400. The value of dataset.Locale is an invalid culture identifier. Try again in a few moments." I have been trying again for 2 days. I do not know what is the issue. (I am uploading dataset in Azure Speech Studio)

When encountering a Status 400 error while uploading a dataset for an Azure Custom Speech-to-Text model, it typically indicates a bad request, meaning the server cannot process the request due to many reasons.
This error can result from several factors such as incorrect or missing parameters in the request, improperly formatted or unsupported file types, exceeding size limits, or authentication and authorization issues.
To resolve this:
- Try uploading the audio and transcription files directly without zipping them.
- Ensure that your dataset meets all Azure requirements, including correct formatting and file type specifications.
- Check if you have the necessary permissions to access the resource.
- Might this issue would be intermittent, it could be due to a temporary network or server issue. In this case, you can try again later to see if the issue has been resolved.
- Try Clear browser cache and cookies and also try using a different browser.
- Additionally, check and logs for more detailed error messages that can help pinpoint the exact cause of the issue.

I think, I have permissions to use this service if I am using free account. Am I right?

Thank you for your follow up query.
Might the error persist with the free account, I suggest trying the pay-as-you-go method as an alternative. This might resolve the issue.
For Logs: In Speech studio--> Monitoring--> Logs.

I have upgraded my account to pay-as-you go, and there are no changes. I think, I do not have problems with data. However, it will be great if you check my data (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hAYJ1qczgdYTFUZplTgQCZzAaNdwp6Gp/view?usp=sharing). The language of my data is Uzbek. -

Thank you for the additional information. Based on your description, it seems that the issue is specific to the Uzbek language in Azure Speech Services. As per the information Azure speech will support only Plain text for Uzbek language. Check here.
I recommend reporting this issue to the Azure Speech Services support team. They will be able to investigate the issue further and provide a more targeted solution. You can report the issue by following these steps:
- Go to the Azure portal and navigate to your Speech Services resource.
- Click on the "Support + troubleshooting" tab.
- Fill out the required information, including a detailed description of the issue and any steps you have taken to troubleshoot it.
- Submit the support request.
The Azure Speech Services support team will review your request and provide assistance as soon as possible. In the meantime, you may want to try using other than Custom Azure Speech Services to see if it produces the desired results.
