Is Synapse Serverless Down?

As of ~12:53 CET all of our queries on Synapse Serverless have been timing out with the message:

[This query cannot be executed because we can't get enough capacity for optimal performance in time. This can be an intermittent issue. Please retry later.]

Even the simplest queries fail, like doing something like this:

SELECT COUNT(*) FROM small_table

Is Synapse Serverless down?

It's been like this for over 1 hour now...

The issue is due to backend capacity issue. I am checking with my internal team on the status. I will keep you posted.

Hi, do you have any update? This issue is still persisting. It seems to have worked for a little bit at 3AM CET today, but as of 6AM we're getting a bunch of the same failures again...

Hi All,

Customers are being affected by an outage in UK South.

Product Group has been engaged, and they are currently working to mitigate the issue.

Here is the ICM number: 517575549. In case you have raised a support case, you can reference this ICM number.
