Azure Maps visual in Power BI and GCC availability

We have received recommendation from Microsoft to leverage Azure Maps visuals in Power BI vs. Bing Maps visuals (as it sounds like a shift is happening). We are not seeing this as an option to turn on for our tenant, and I'm wondering if this is something that is not yet available for GCC customers. I'm not finding an answer anywhere, although I'm still searching...

    Short Answer: We don't know

    Long Answer: You are asking about a Feature within Power BI and availability of that Power BI Feature in other environments. Unfortunately, the Microsoft Maps Team does not have visibility into Power BI availability or offerings so I would recommend asking the Power BI team as they control their codebase and offerings.
