Hi Team,

Issue- We are migrating SCCM clients to a new site using the Sitecote change method by creating the package and deploying it on collection. During the process of site code change for client, the collection in which the device exists went on evaluation and settles down in 5-8 hours for a set of 10 client devices. I am wondering if we migrate in bulk like 200-500 then how long would that take to complete the evaluation. Also, noticed that devices in membership of collections gets also evaluated.

It would be worth to mention here that the new collection creation and evaluation doesn't takes time.

Query - Is this something normal when we change the site code, and the collection goes on evaluation since the site code is getting changed for example from ABC to CDE? Need the expert's advice here.

    Hi, @Mohd Atif Husain

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

When changing the site code for SCCM clients, it is normal for the collection to go on evaluation since the site code is getting changed. The evaluation process evaluates the membership rules of a collection to update its members, and the time it takes to complete depends on the number of devices being migrated.

To monitor the evaluation process, you can use the Collection Evaluation Viewer (CEViewer) or view collection evaluation in the Configuration Manager console.
