Creating Certifcate Or Symmetric key Over Azure Managed Instance with Entra Service principal

Hi Team,

We are connecting a database over Azure SQL Managed Instance from our C# application.

We need to create Symmetric-Key/Asymmetric-Key/Certificate with TSQL statement.

Yes That's useful but the thing now is I am connecting with "Microsoft Entra service principals" Authentication with my C# application.

And the TSQL by which we create Symmetric Key on below links I need to use

"[ AUTHORIZATION owner_name ]" ,

where its not working with the APP ID used for owner name by which we are logged in to server.
What can be used when this authentication used an logged with appid and secret

Thanks for the response @Oury Ba-MSFT . Its helpful.

Now the another challenge is we are using "Microsoft Entra Service Principal" while connecting from C#.
And the TSQL for symmetric key contains "[ AUTHORIZATION owner_name ]"
for Owner_name we use appid which we used to login from Microsoft Entra Service Principal
But is not working.

Assuming that you are already connected to your Azure SQL DB managed Instance through C#. Now, you are trying to create Symmetric-Key/Asymmetric-Key/Certificate with TSQL statement.

Once the connection is established, you can create Symmetric-Key/Asymmetric-Key/Certificate using TSQL statements.

You can go through the below docs to create an asymmetric key and a certificate.

CREATE SYMMETRIC KEY (Transact-SQL)

CREATE CERTIFICATE (Transact-SQL)
