Tab stop decimal not stable when sharing doc with others

In word 356
I like to use decimal tab stops for numeric tables. It works perfectly, as long as I export with PDF.

But when I share the doc with others, the decimal tab stops are usually messed up and the result is much worse than reverting to simple centring in the first place.

Is there a way, to "lock" the decimal tab stops? Or make them more stable when sharing doc-> doc?
