Exchange Online Cannot Access M365 Portal
So we enabled security defaults the other day on an older tenant.
We noticed that an Exchange Online Plan 1 account could not log in to the M365 portal (portal.office.com). They would get an error (paraphrased): "You do not have access to this, your sign-in was successful but you don't have permission to access this resource" and included an error code:530035
I know that an exchange online account used to be able to access the M365 portal, but this no longer seems to be the case. It CAN access outlook.office.com though, and this makes sense as the account is an exchange online account.
What is troubling is that I cannot find any reference to this anywhere, or maybe my google-foo is weak, I am just looking for confirmation that this is expected behavior.
