Surface Pro 9 pwrtest.exe /sleep S4 resume takes too long.

When running pwrtest.exe /sleep /s:4 on the Surface Pro 9, the S4 state is set to wake up after 30 seconds, but it consistently takes over 3 minutes to wake up.


Environment:

Surface Pro 9

Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1215U 2.50 GHz

Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.83 GB usable)

    Ensure you have the latest Surface firmware and Windows updates installed.

    Run powercfg /hibernate /size to see the current hibernation file size.

    If it's too small, try increasing it: powercfg /hibernate /size 100

    Run powercfg /sleepstudy and examine the report for any anomalies.

    Run powercfg /waketimers to see if any unexpected timers are set.

    Open Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings

    Find "Sleep" and disable "Allow hybrid sleep"

    Perform a Clean Boot.
