Hi team,
Recently I did a re-installation for MEC and discovered that MEC is automatically using the existing ADDS connector account and Entra ID connector account. (I didn't select to use exist AD account in the wizard setup.)
I clearly remember before like several months ago, by default a new AD account and Entra ID account are created when I re-installed MEC.
Is this behavior changed recently?

Based on your description, I understand that you are trying to re-install Microsoft Entra Connect on your server and you didn't select "Use an existing service account" during the custom installation. However, you observed that Microsoft Entra Connect is automatically using the existing ADDS connector account and Entra ID connector account during the installation.
Here I can confirm that there are no recent changes happened on Microsoft Entra Connect.- When you are Connecting to Microsoft Entra ID, you need to enter the username and password of the Hybrid Identity Administrator account.
- When you are Connecting to AD DS, you need to enter the username and password for an Enterprise Admin account.
This is the expected flow when installing Microsoft Entra Connect. However, as you stated, this is not the flow you are experiencing. I request you to share a few screenshots with us so that we can better understand the behavior you are facing and provide appropriate assistance.
Please share the above details, and we will provide the next action plan accordingly.
