Hi team, we have a large-scale application in use that sends bulk emails to thousands of users. We adhere to all standard guidelines and protocols, and our email addresses are whitelisted to ensure they are not considered spam.

Our users create email alerts on our platform and receive notifications on their respective email addresses. These communications are not unknown, spam, or unsolicited marketing. To maintain trust with our users, we provide an unsubscribe feature as per RFC2369-compliant.

The problem we are encountering is that users receive our emails correctly in Outlook mail, with the unsubscribe option available and functioning properly. However, once a user unsubscribes from any of the emails, the unsubscribe option disappears from all the existing and upcoming emails. This is a critical issue for a large organization like ours and while it works properly on Gmail web and mobile, most of our clients use Outlook mail, so we must consider Outlook mail. This situation undermines our commitment to user trust and compliance.

We urgently need a solution to this problem please provide the necessary support. Thanks!

    Hi @Vaibhav Yeole

    Welcome to our forum!

According to your description, even if your users unsubscribe from your emails on Outlook for Web, they will still receive emails from you, and those emails will no longer have an unsubscribe button, right?

Based on my research, after i unsubscribe from an email i subscribed to on Outlook for Web, I can still find the unsubscribe button from other emails in this series. Considering the issue may relate to your application, it is suggested that you contact the developers of the application and have them to check 'unsubscribe feature as per RFC2369-compliant'. Please kindly understand that the Outlook tag here we mainly focus on general issues about Outlook desktop client.

In addition, if the users are using an outlook.com account on Outlook for web, you may contact them to follow the steps (Settings>Mail>Subscriptions>Unsubscribe) to unsubscribe emails send from your application. If this still does not work, i am afraid that you need to contact the users to block your emails from their side, More information: Block senders or mark email as junk in Outlook.com or Outlook on the web. - Microsoft Support.

    Hope it helps!

I understand you're frustrated about unsubscribe buttons disappearing in webmail after unsubscribing from one email. This seems to be a common issue across some webmail providers, even in India. While you may not see the button anymore, you should be unsubscribed from that sender's list.
