I did a Microsoft Entra ID p2 free trial but instead of it being available on my default directory, it created a new azure portal account and is available on only that account.

Hello, I was trying to activate the Entra ID P2 free trial using the same email/ Microsoft account I got the free azure account i started the Entra ID P2 free trial but it did not allow me use the same email and domain where i got the free account. so i just used a new one thinking that is how the set up is meant to be. After creating it and filling up the details, a new separate azure portal account was created where the Entra ID P2 free trial is available. And i wanted the Entra ID Premium P2 to be available on my default directory where i clicked on start free trail. I hope i provided enough clarity with my explanation.

Now the new account that was created is a work/ student account which does not have an azure free trial subscription. I can't apply for another free trial because its already in use on my default account where i want the Entra ID P2 to be on. Pls what went wrong and what can i do

    Hello Isaac Samuel,

    Thanks for your question

If you have registered for Azure Free Subscription from your personal email address, then you will receive default Microsoft Entra ID (not P1 / P2 trail) license with subscription.

Because the P2 trial requires a separate license, it wouldn't activate on the same tenant and instead created a new one with your new email. So this is expected behaviour.
