Every time I launch Visual Studio (17.10.4) and try to connect to my Mac machine remotely to deploy and debug iOS applications using MAUI, it re-installs CorePackages.pkg and MobileDevices.pkg files, which take around 8-9 minutes to finish.
It's pretty frustrating to be honest.
- How can I resolve this issue?
- To debug this, which Window I should observe for more logs? I am thinking about some version mismatch or dotnet upgrade command triggers this.

And you can try to open Xcode to see if there are any prompts to install components, because CorePackages.pkg and MobileDevices.pkg. are provided by Xcode.
Also, I use VS(17.10.4), but I cannot reproduce the issue, it won't install CorePackages.pkg and MobileDevices.pkg.
You can see the log on your Windows machine: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Xamarin\Logs\17.0

2024-07-23T09:04:06.86+00:00 From the logs I see that "pkgutil --pkg-info com.apple.pkg.MobileDevice" returns an error.
"No receipt for 'com.apple.pkg.MobileDevice' found at '/'"
Same command fails for for CorePackage.pkg as well.

2024-07-24T05:36:59.06+00:00 I see you are using the latest Xcode15.4 on your Mac. Could you open it and check if it is broken? And go to Settings->Locations to see what the Command Line Tools is.
