For New Development: Use .NET 6 (LTS) or .NET 7 (the latest stable version) to ensure you are using the most up-to-date framework with long-term support.

Longest version of Windows 10 that support .NET Framework 4.8 will end of support on 2032-01-13

Server 2008 R2 will get updates (including NetFx 4.8) till 2026-01-13

Server 2012 R2 will get updates (including NetFx 4.8) till 2026-10-13
