Why doesnt the checkbox result in a value of -1?

I am checking the boxes of these fields but for whatever reason the the value doesnt result in -1.

Every single box i check returns a value of 0. What can I do so that I get the -1 value of a checked box.

One thing to note is that the table from which this field comes is linked to an SQL server.

Where do you see "returns a value of 0"? I don't see it in your screen shots. Do you have a query or datasheet view that displays 0?

BTW: you are encoding data in field names which breaks basic normalization rules. However, it's not my database.

What is special about -1? A bit, in SQL, is either 0 (false) or 1 (true) and that is how it would map to a checkbox in SSRS. If you are working with a VB-like language, such as Access macros, then VB true's are -1. Thus you should be treating the values as Boolean and not as numeric values. A boolean value can be mapped to a SQL bit easily irrelevant of what the underlying numeric value is.

I understand. The value or boolean value returned from the checkbox was only 0 (false), even if the box were checked. So im trying to understand why regardless of the situation, the value returned is 0(false).

How are you determining that the value being returned is 0? Are you clicking your "save" button on the Access form and when it saves the data back to the database then the value is 0 even when you checked the box?

If so then the standard questions apply here: are you sure you mapped the control to the correct database table and column? If you change other columns do they update the correct row in the database?

I assume that you also load the form with the current values from the database. If so then is the checkbox properly checked when data is first loaded for rows that have a value of 1 for the column?

When the code executes this is the result of it. This code execute after I click on the checkbox and exit out of the subform in which the checkboxes are in.

I check the box and the code below is executed after i exit the subform in which the checkboxes are seen. I check the boxes CO2 and Glycol and they result in 0

I'm wondering if you're having a scoping issue here but it's unclear based upon the screenshots. You said the checkboxes are in a subform but isn't the code you're running in the parent form. CO2 is in the scope of the parent form which may or may not be the same thing as the subform. I notice that youre CCRF checkbox printout is also false.

Can you print out the value of the CCRF textbox after you set its value in the child form? Can you also print out the values before the subform is shown and ensure that it is checked when the subform loads?
