Hi

Been using VMM for years now, but I still run into settings that make me wonder what the hell they are for. Or that I just never needed to have a look at.

One of the Tabs on a Host Resource Group is called Host Reserves.

I'm puzzled about the values. I never changed these as I can remember. But are these really the default values ?
And does a 0 mean there is no reserve-calculation being done ?

Not sure I fully understand how this works. If someone can help, would be awesome.

@Richard Willkomm , Host Reserves define how much of a host’s resources are to reserved for the host operating system. Once these reserves are configured, a virtual machine cannot be deployed on that host if doing so would require the use of those reserved resources. For the value, it is the default the same as mine. We can also change the value according our requirements:

    Hope it can help.

    Thanks for responding.

At least I now know what the default values are. And a little bit on what it means and what they are used for.

Just to be sure, a zero value really means a zero value here ? A zero does not mean the setting is disabled entirely ?
