I created document layout form under Doc Intelligence-Custom Model for OCR Train/reading - Need to add multiple options in one field or space. How can this be done? one the form the cell has 4 selections in a designated space/field, when handwritten filled hardcopy form is completed, one of those 4 selections will be circled or checked,

  1. How can OCR be told to embody all 4 selections in the one cell /field/section?
  2. how can OCR be told to only transfer the one that is checked?

Example: 4 choices / codes are RA, RT, LA, LT. One of these 4 are circled for selected choice, all 4 are current in 1 cell on the hardcopy form, how can I set up OCR with all 4 in the one TABLE column/row cell and only transfer/display the one that is circled.

Also, same issue with multiple descriptions options for 1 category that goes in one space/cell, how can two check box options be placed in the same TABLE column/row cell?

To add multiple options in one field or space in a custom model created under Document Intelligence, you can use either dynamic tables or fixed tables. For the scenario where there are four choices and only one is circled, you can use a fixed table with one row and four columns, where each column represents one of the four choices. Then, you can use signature detection to identify which choice is circled. For the scenario where there are multiple descriptions options for one category that goes in one space/cell, you can use a dynamic table with one row and two columns, where each column represents one of the two checkbox options.

To train the model to recognize the different options, you can select the text in your page and then choose the cell and assign it to the text. Repeat for all rows and columns in all pages in all documents. To improve accuracy, you can provide more sample documents for training where the field, table, or checkbox is present.
