Azure Managed Instance Migration offline mode. Cannot find full back up error

I am trying to my migrate my on-prm sql server to SQL managed instance via Azure Data Studio Managed instance. I am using the offline mode to migrate the server and my back up files are saved in blob starage account. When i initate the migration i get an error -'full backup cannot be found'. I have all the backups saved in seperate folders under one storage container as requirement on the data studio. How to troubleshoot this issue.

Could you please check if the storage account is located in the same region as the azure database migration service.
Ensure that the service account running the source SQL Server instance has read and write permissions on the SMB network share that contains database backup files.
If you use Database Migration Service for the first time, make sure that
Microsoft.DataMigrationresource provider is registered in your subscription. Follow the steps to register the resource provider.Please check this doc https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/data-migration/sql-server/managed-instance/database-migration-service?toc=%2Fazure%2Fdms%2Ftoc.json&tabs=offline-with-extension to make sure you have met all the prerequisites.

Yes, the Storage account and database migration service are in the same region (Canada Central)
Microsoft.DataMigration is registered under the subscription
I am using the offline mode for the migration so should not require any SMB network share, all my backups are in the storage account
