Azure CDN Managed cert did not automatically renew

Even though our cdn custom domain is set to use managed certificate from Azure, our certificate did not auto renew on Aug 3 when it was expired. Now our resource is showing invalid certificate and we can't get to resources using the cdn file path.

How do we get it to auto renew?

    As it was a managed certificate for Azure CDN which did not renew a support ticket will be required to help resolve this issue.

    1. Check that the DNS records for your custom domain are properly configured to point to the Azure CDN endpoint.
    2. Verify that the certificate management type is set to "CDN managed."
    3. Check the activity logs for any errors or warnings regarding the CDN profile or certificate.
    4. Alternatively; you can manually initiate the renewal process through the Azure portal.
    • Navigate to the Azure portal and find your CDN profile. Choose the custom domain that requires certificate renewal from the CDN profile. Look for an option to manually renew the certificate. This may be labeled "Renew Certificate" or something like.

    To avoid future downtime, set up alerts to monitor your certificates' expiration dates and activate them on time if auto-trigger fails.
