I'm using the Azure Migrate to migrate the AWS Ec2 to the Azure so here
my AWS Ec2 instance is Ubuntu 22.04 and kernel version is 6.5.0-1021-aws
So could you tell me that which ASR Mobility version do i use

yes It saying the The error message indicates that the version of the mobility service you are trying to install does not support the operating system kernel version 6.5.0-1021-aws

So suggest me which Azure documentation would i follow?

@Teja AWS tuned kernels are not supported by ASR. Can you use generic kernels on this VM?

Could I know for which AWS EC2 Ubuntu Machines, does the generic kernel versions exits to migrate the VM from AWS to Azure

@Teja The kernels with “-aws” at the end are the optimized AWS kernels that Ubuntu builds for AWS, just like the “-azure” kernels that they build for Azure.

Those kernels contain mostly performance optimizations for each cloud platform.

I think a good approach would be to do the migration in 3 steps:

Install a generic Ubuntu kernel on the machine and reboot into it.

Do the migration.

Install an optimized -azure kernel to get the Azure optimizations (accelerated networking, etc.).

Of course, start with a test machine and take snapshots of the VMs in case something goes wrong with the kernel update.
